RE:        NEW Affordable Care Act Related IRS Reporting Requirements

Recently, your company may have received Form 1095-A or B, which requests information required under the Affordable Care Act. 

Many union healthcare fund offices are filing this form on behalf of contributing employers for your employees covered under CBAs.  For confirmation you should contact the following fund offices: for Laborers Health Care contact TIC at (517) 321-7502, and for Operating Engineers contact Benesys at (248) 813-9800.  

It should be noted that any non-bargaining employees would not be included in the fund offices’ filing.  You should discuss this matter with your accountant if you have any further questions regarding tax consequences.
