A new report shows billions of gallons of sewage have been dumped in Michigan waterways. The Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association says, since January, nearly 15-billion gallons of raw or partially treated sewage have been released in the state's rivers, lakes and streams.

That's enough to fill nearly 25,000 Olympic size swimming pools. One of the worst counties is right here in mid-Michigan. Ingham County ranks fourth on MITA's list with more than 75-million gallons of sewage. Darren Cunningham is following the story. He'll have more on 6 News at six.
